Stay in to Feed NYC
After our sold out Food for Good event at M2 in NYC on November 12, we’ve raised enough money to feed more than 65,000 hungry New Yorkers this holiday season. To reach our goal of feeding nearly 55,000 more, we are hosting Stay In on December 8, 2009, where participants will direct the money saved from not dining out to purchasing one or more holiday meals for a New York City family in need.
Donors participating in Stay In receive discounts from FreshDirect and SeamlessWeb and credit for a movie rental from Amazon Video On Demand to make their evening "in" a memorable one. In addition, a limited number of Stay In heroes will enjoy homemade Chocolate Five Spice ice cream from MilkMade. Participants will be able to share their evening's experience on Hot Potato.

One of the most striking things about the generosity of Robin Hood and all the people who contribute… is that it includes [these newcomers] at the table, includes them in what really is the American Dream: enough to eat for all of us.
